Jerry B. Cotner, M.D.

Dr. Cotner founded Ophthalmology Associates in 1968. He has
a background in Biology and Chemistry from Northeastern Oklahoma
State University (1955), and completed his medical degree at the
University of Oklahoma (1959), where he also completed his internship
(1960). He remained in general practice following the completion
of his training and underwent training in USAF School of Aerospace
Medicine.
In 1965, Dr. Cotner left general practice to begin training in
Ophthalmology. He completed his residency at UT Southwestern in
1968, and started Ophthalmology Associates.
Dr. Cotner has led a distinguished career in Ophthalmology. He
is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern
Medical Center and has taught cataract surgery to residents for
33 years. He has been active in the American Academy of Ophthalmology,
American Medical Association, Texas Ophthalmologic Association,
Dallas County Medical Society, and the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology
(where he served on the advisory board).
In addition, Dr. Cotner is an active civic leader, having served
as President of the Richardson Symphony and President of the Turtle
Creek Homeowners Association. He is an active member of the Dallas
Safari Club, numerous wildlife conservation organizations, and
the Dallas Museum of Art.

Dennis
H. Goldsberry, M.D., P.E.

Dr. Goldsberry is a 1996 honors graduate from Baylor University
in Electrical Engineering. He went on to earn a Master of Science
in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University (1997)
before completing medical school at A&M in 2001. After completing
an internship in Internal Medicine, he successfully completed
residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Mississippi
Medical Center. Following this, he completed a fellowship in Cornea,
External Disease & Refractive Surgery at Rush University Medical
Center in Chicago, Illinois, where he learned the latest techniques
in cataract surgery and laser vision correction surgery.
Dr. Goldsberry joined Ophthalmology Associates in July 2006.
In addition to regular eye exams, Dr. Goldsberry maintains an
active surgical practice in cataract surgery and laser vision
correction. He offers the Restor Multifocal intraocular lens as
an option to patients undergoing cataract surgery and is one of
the few surgeons in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area offering the Verisyse
Phakic Lens in addition to traditional Laser Vision Correction
procedures. Dr. Goldsberry is a fellowship-trained refractive
surgeon.
Dr. Goldsberry is Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology,
a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is active in
the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, the
European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, the Cornea
Society, the International Society of Refractive Surgeons, the
Texas Medical Association, the and the Dallas County Medical Society.
In addition, he is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers and the Engineering in Medicine and
Biology Society. He has written numerous scientific papers.
